Alison Pill

Pill began her career as a performer in Canada But it wasn't until just a couple of years later she appeared for the first time on the American film market. A few of her appearances were in an episode of the Canadian series Traders that starred Bruce Gray. Pill was offered a part on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation featuring Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, and Michael Ensign, in the episode "Would, Could, Shoulda" written and performed written and acted by Naren Shakar. Pill's appearance as Picard was preceded by a more prominent and recognizable supporting role as "Katie" on Devs. This series that was created through FX Productions on Hulu and hosted by the digital VFX firm Double Negative, featured her in all episodes. Similarities to Picard were not just limited to the similarities in Picard as the major theme of the show was later identified to be the survival of consciousness created by an artificial entity, as similar to the ones Data had been preserved in, as divulged earlier that year in the Picard season one conclusion "Et at Arcadia Ego, Part 2".
