Kellie Martin is an American actress in television, film as well as stage actor. Her most notable roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) in the period drama Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other notable roles include appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department store buyer as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin began her career in acting when she was just seven, when her aunt who was a nanny for Michael Landon's children assisted her in landing her a role in the series of 1982 "Father Murphy.". Martin began her professional acting career after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industry. Martin is a professional actress as well as an accomplished photographer and dancer, has been working in the field for over twenty years. Mother of two daughters Martin is the Lupus ambassador and has been spreading awareness of the illness every day since the death of her sister at the age of 19.
